The WT 1278/1276 transceivers feature a LoRaTM long-range modem that provides ultra-long-range spread-spectrum communication and high interference immunity while minimizing current consumption. Using Semtech’s patented LoRaTM modulation technology WT 1278/1276, a sensitivity in excess of -148 dBm can be achieved using a low cost crystal and bill of materials. High sensitivity combined with an integrated +20 dBm power amplifier results in an industry leading link budget, making it suitable for any application requiring range or robustness. Compared with traditional modulation techniques, LoRaTM has significant advantages in both blocking and selectivity, solving the compromise between distance, interference immunity and energy consumption of traditional designs.
These devices also support high-performance (G)FSK mode for systems including WMBus, IEEE802.15.4g. The WT 1278/1276 offer exceptional phase noise, selectivity, receiver linearity and IIP 3 with significantly lower current consumption compared to competing devices.
